As the nightclub scene grew rapidly in the 1980’s, we saw a drastic change in the esoteric club zone, proudly known as India Point Park.  Once propelled by “21 East”, which then became “Roosters”, and let’s not forget the short lived Club Cafe (which is now leveled by The I-195 development) and of course, The Hot Club.  Developed shortly thereafter, was a short lived state of the art nightclub “scene”, complete with showers and, yes a swimming pool.  The brainstorm of someone who deduced it would be the “next big thing”, unfortunately it never really came to fruition.  Recently, land was purchased by the state Department of Transportation for the highway relocation project, and now the state must sell the property that remains to help pay for that massive undertaking.
