A Train Station Evolution

Conimicut Station in 1909. The Beach Avenue section of Conimicut was the center of the village's growth from a summer resort to a year round suburban area around the turn of the century. The Warwick Railroad became electrified in 1900 which allowed the trolley to make its dramatic impact. (Henry A.L. Brown Collection.)  Now, with an almost identical restoration it now resides in the Pontiac section of Warwick.
